The Canadian writer and journalist’s latest tour is a continuation of a series of book tours initiated right after the 2013 publication of his second book: CUBA AND ITS NEIGHBOURS: DEMOCRACY IN MOTION. They brought him during the spring and summer of 2013 to, among others, Washington D.C. as part of the Five Days of Action for the Cuban Five and the Left Forum in New York City. He then concentrated almost exclusively on academic book tours since the fall of 2013 with talks at universities located in: Canada (Quebec City, Toronto, Montreal and Halifax), USA (New York City and Connecticut) and several universities in the United Kingdom. This February Midwest academic book tour is the first of two in the Midwest. The second leg is to take place from approximately April 14-17, 2014. This is part of a university lecture-program in Canada, Germany, the Netherlands and other countries.
